The Age Old Heated Mirror Problem

I have recently purchased a pre fl octavia elegance estate 2008 and noticed the heated mirrors do not work.

I have successfully removed the mirror glass and tested the resistance. I Got 52 ohms resistance on mirror element.

I tested the wires to the mirror and I am getting around 14.1 volts from all positions of the mirror switch.

I have had the switch in Left, Right, Off and heated and the voltage is the same.

Would anyone suggest that the switch needs replacing 1st and then a couple of new mirror glasses? Help me please!

Hi all, Currently looking to upgrade from a 2021 fiesta(!) to a used family sized car. Been a long time admirer of Skodas and have looked at the Octavia / Superb, but we’re a very active family and have an allotment, go to the stables and make a lot of trips to rural wales, where the bottom of the fiesta has taken a beating. Ok, Matrix Leds are fantastic. When driving on A or B class roads they working perfect, illuminates both sides of the road and cuts out cars at the front or oncoming traffic. I've never been flashed. When I tried to use them on motorway it's a different story. Right headlamp is illuminating as expected but left one doesn't illuminate side of the road but only gives a lot of light far at the front of the car.. This is my 2012 Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo, It is a 1.6 TDI 105 ps model with 89k miles. I bought it on the first of February and have imported it into Ireland since,however it has sat for since due to it being a pain to get insurance. Since it didn't need anything I only clayed and polished the paint,hopefully I will be able to get a remap in the coming months to about 140 ps but I have no other plans for the car. I can't justify doing anything right now as everything on the car is in good conditi

Bit of a long shot here. I have very recently bought a 66 plate Superb estate, which came with a steel 16" spare in the boot. It also came with the foam insert and tool kit for the 18" wheel, which obviously doesn't work. Does anyone have the foam insert from an old 16" sat around that they would be prepared to sell? The garage I bought from were not the most helpful, and I don't think that is likely to change any time soon. Cheers in advance.

Hi everyone, I am looking for some insight regarding a fueling issue on my Skoda Octavia 3 RS (2.0 TSI, EA888 Gen 3, CHHA engine, 169kW). The car is currently running an APR Stage 2 tune (ECU + TCU). The issue first appeared right after flashing APR Stage 1 at around 74k km, and now at 86k km, it has become more frequent (sometimes 3x a day, sometimes it gives peace for 2 weeks).
