Hello,

I´ve upgrade my bluetooth module and i have some issues:

Missing Icons on Maxi Dot:

I cant use next / previous song on the wheel or radio on streaming and i have no information of song names on streaming:

PhoneBook on Bolero is messed up:

Contact details on Bolero are messed up:

All the rest works great and this module has much more options than the older one.

The missing icons does not bother me much but i would like to have song names displayed and use next previous track commands on the wheel.

Can i solve any of this issues with coding?

The squares on the maxidot is because the software is too old. An update might be possible but it's unlikely...

If the Bolero is made by Blaupunkt then I think it's a common issue, switching it for a Delphi Bolero should resolve it or a RNS310/315/510.

Might be worth posting an autoscan so we can look for anything obvious.

Had a look round and I think the Bolero problems are only with 7P6 modules so a 3C8 module should fix it.

I use an rSAP module and find it works well, I think the nexus 6P supports it without needing to root or install any apps.

There is one downside, when in rSAP mode it effectively means the phone no longer has access to the SIM card. This means that you won't be able to send/receive text messages or use the internet on your phone. Instead text messages will be received by the car and shown on the cluster and most of the time they are not copied back to the phone. Later 3C8 modules such as the D and E rev have inbuilt WiFi and when in a 3G area your phone will be able to connect to the WiFi and use the internet.

You can also still use HFP if you prefer on the 3C8 modules.

thanks for your reply :-)

i need to use the internet for streaming so i should use HFP mode.

Do i need to connect the antena even if i use the module in HFP mode?

It will probably have a fault code stored if the antenna isn't connected but it should work fine for HFP without it.
