How do you do it?

The book says how to switch between functions, stations etc. but not how do switch entertainment off without switching the whole thing off.

Press the volume roller on the steering wheel inwards. Entertainment audio will pause and a mute icon shows on the top if the Amundsen screen.

Car doesnt have any buttons on the steering, just the wiper stalk and the unit controls.

Got the mk3 octy today, trading in the old mk2.

You cant I dont think, you can only mute it.

It is only possible without the MFSW by turning the volume down to zero.

The Octavia with MFSW you can press the volume rocker. My Golf is bloody annoying, on my old one the voice control button muted audio as it didnt have voice control, on the new one it doesnt. The car has voice capability but isnt activated from the factory so just keeps saying voice control not available and does nothing else. Not v clever.

Okdok, i'll turn it down to zero and hope i can still hear the other features.

Just something to be aware of with this, if not immediately obvious. Don't lower the volume when navigation is playing its instruction otherwise it will only lower the nav volume and radio/media will remain as is.

You will, nav, phone, traffic announcements have their own volume levels
