62 Fabia TSI 105 Accelerator

Featured Replies

Hi, I have already posted about a problem I am having, but to recap,  when stopping in traffic, at lights, crossings etc  as soon as the car has stopped the revs drop off towards Tickover at 700 rpm, but then increase back to vary between 700 to 1200 rpm.  Touching the pedal brings the rpm to normal.

Today it went to workshop for analysis, but nothing showed up as faulty.  Drove the car up the road and back to workshop and the mechanic saw this happen but was unable to give an answer.  Other than fit a new pedal assembly at £95 plus vat plus labour.

The question is has anyone any experience of this or taken the pedal assembly out

62 Plate, is that not still in Manufacturers Warranty?

Should they not be offering to replace or the fault fixed under Warranty and bill Skoda UK £95 plus VAT & Labour & their extras,

and provide you with a Courtesy car until it is done?

No, the car is now out of warranty as of last October.  The dealer says he may be able to offer some discount, but that would be at Skoda's discretion.  The thing about it, is it going to get worse or stay the same and should I have a look at the accelerator unit to see if its something simple.

You should contact Skoda UK and consult them about the issue. They may over rule the dealers 'may be able to' with something abit more useful (:
