Service:Inspection/Service:Oil Question.

Featured Replies

The missus's fabia 1.4 classic (8v) was due it's annual service.

As Gorners had shut in Warrington, she used the Nationwide (AA/Halfords) garage.

They supposedly performed a full service and the Service:inspection message was displayed before she went in and reset after it had been serviced.

Reciept shows oil and oil filter was changed.

I got a phone call today from her to say the Service:oil message was on the display.

Odd I thought, between 2 and 400 miles after the full Service:inspection for the oil message to come up.

I've looked at the oil. Considering it was very recent, it is incredibly brown and opaque looking. Not like fresh and recent oil. Infact the 4k old oil in my 200k+ Saab turbo looks in better nick.

If it has had a full service, is it likely that oil change service light would come on so soon after?
