Fabia vRS 2006 Euro 1V Emissions

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the the PD130 engine is going to be discontinued in 2006 ?

I notice that it has been dropped from the Octavia 2 and the new Seat Leon.

Will the Fabia vRS continue to be made in 2006.?

I would appreciate it if anyone could advise me

I would think it's gonna be continued to be made, as they just added leather to the options list, and it sells so well, they'd be fools no to! I would assume (but I don't actually know) that they will just put the 2.0 140bhp unit in it....

The next gen fabia will get the next gen engines.

all engines in the Fabia, Polo and Ibiza are now euro4, so they will not be getting the new units (the polo and Ibiza use the 1.8t as well as the Pd130).

IIRC the newer ones have a soot filter - didnt one restrict the max power (no pun intended) at one of the tuners recently?

Leather on options list????

I'm probably wrong, but I thought the PD130 only met the EuroIII regs

Steve

You're not wrong. 1.9@105 and 2.0@140 are euro4 and that's it(as far as 1.9/2.0 is concerned).

The current Fabia VRS has the PD130 engine which only meets euro 3 regs.

The Polo GT TDI 130 and Sport 130 are Euro IV compliant.

Any news anywhere on the new Fabia yet?. I saw a painting about 6 months ago of a concept in blue
