Mobile Phones & Columbus

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me how many phones can be connected to the Columbus unit in a Mk 3 Superb please.

I have a Columbus (RNS 510) in my Passat and it can store 4 devices.

Its not the Columbus that stores the phones its a separate Bluetooth module. I believe you can store up to 5 phones.

My Passat manual says 4 and my Yeti manual whose system is the same also says 4

According to the Columbus manual:

  • The maximum number of paired telephones is 20. Pairing a new telephone after reaching the maximum number causes the telephone that has not been paired for the longest time to be automatically replaced.

This appears 3 times in my RNS 510 (Columbus) manual. When I say manual, it's a separate Operating Manual for the Provision for mobile telephones.

That's because you're looking at a manual which relates to a Columbus (RNS510), while this topic is in the Superb Mk3 section so the Columbus will be entirely different, being an MIB unit.
