starter clicking 2006 vrs

Featured Replies

Hi

Sometimes my car won't start. when i turn the key there is just a bunch of clicks coming from the engine compartment, i assume its coming from the starter.

My batteri and alternator is fine.

only problem is i can't find the starter.

do i have to remove the driver side (left hand drive) wheel to see it?

Is it alot of work to replace it?

Edit: The car only does this sometimes, not always

Im sure on my 2008 petrol vrs that the starter motor is on the front of the gearbox, easy to see from looking down in the engine bay,im not sure where it is on the diesel model though.

Could just be a loose/corroded/burned out connection. Check connections at battery posts, chassis ground and starter.
