Most Fun in Ages

Featured Replies

Hi all,

On thursday I had to go from Merthyr Tydfil to Aberystwyth and back, and if anyone knows the route it is, well lets say twisty.

Now I thought my Fabia would be OK going up these roads but thought might not be as much fun as some of my previous cars, 106 GTi and Remapped Cupra. God I was wrong really really wrong.

I know the roads quite well as I have a caravan near to Aberystwyth and was able to make good progress, the Eibach springs seemed to have transformed the car and the torque and grip out of the bends was amazing.

The other thing that I found was that with all that torque overtaking was so much safer, just a little blip of the throttle and you were past.

To sum up I have not had that much pleasure from my car in a long time and the Fabia had so much more to give, even though it was quite wet it didn't concern me once by letting go at a bad time.

I am going to miss the car so much especially when I am getting a cheap one next.

Thanks for reading

Any luck with the sale as yet?

I have had quite a bit of interest, I am really not looking forward to letting it go but hopefully the money will be going to import our first Skyline/Evo 5 and get the business going.

Good luck with the business :) - whereabouts will you be based (I cant afford one, but a little plug may get you going)

The Skyline/Evo will be for the business for now but I am hoping to get one eventually, we are based in South Wales, and you could be surprised with the costs of such a car :D

Thanks

Hi Antony

The Fabia vRS is not the fastest car on the planet, but it is it ability to cover ground and enjoy doing it that puts a smile on my face every time I find a decent bit of road. I often wonder if I would smile less in something more full on.

I know what you mean, the Ibiza sometimes felt too much and that was by no means a really powerful car.

The Fabia just seemd to have the right blend .
