Hi all 

i have recently purchased some roof rails for my mk1 estate fabia. However i have no idea how i need to fit them with regards to dropping out roof linings and what kind of bolts etc i need for it. Does anyone have any advice on how to fit the roof rails and anywhere i can buy the different black plastic for the roof channels.

I fitted these to my dad's car in 2009.

From what I remember you need to take off all the grab handles and release the A and B pillar trims, possibly the C pillars as-well.

The B pillar ones were a pain and I managed to break one.

 

The bolts should come with the roof bars and are captive.

 

In order to fit the bars you need special roof trims that have the holes for the bolts and spacer blocks.

You remove the original ones and fit the new ones , there is some tape over the holes in the bodywork can;t remember if that was on the inside or outside.

 

It was tricky to get all of the nuts onto the inside and then to tighten them up and get the seals to sit down and look good.
