Hi there...can anyone help me. Ive just bought 4ltr of castrol edge 5w30fst for my mk1 octavia vrs but I've been told my car hold 4.5 ltrs..i can only get castrol edge titanium 5w30 in 1ltr bottles....is it ok to mix this with the non titanium...

Iff its is both 5w30 you can mix them it will not give any problem. I will always stick to the samen oil iff possible

Can you not take it back if it's unopened? Then you can buy 5l of oil, like the Quantum longlife or Shell Helix ECT which are more reasonably priced and the same 504.00/507.00 spec.

 

If you can't take it back then try and find a 1l bottle that's the same VW spec.

You can mix the Castrol products you mentioned.  If you check the bottle there is a Tech Helpline number. Have posed a similar question to them in the past.
