What service should I be due

Featured Replies

Ok so car is on fixed servicing , June 2013 vrs with 32k on clock and due service next few weeks, so it's technically it's 4th service but none so far have been major and still has standard spark plugs .

So what exactly should I be getting done as I don't feel the dicks behind the desk know fully what schedule is. Cheers

It would be a Minor Service @ about £139,

plus the Brake Fluid Change because the car will be 3 years old, so £45 or so.

1st service was Minor,  9,400 miles (10,000) or so 372 days.

2nd service was Major Inspection. (Pollen Filter maybe done) 20,000 or so.

So 3 years and 32,000 is Minor really even if there was one done in between.

The Air Filter could probably do with a change, it needs checked

& i would get the Spark Plugs changes,  so who knows really want they might what to charge you.

Maybe they will quote £259 and do a Major Service & change Air Filter, Pollen Filter,

Inline Fuel Filter, and Spark Plugs, but then pigs might fly.

As George says.

Ive just had my 3rd year service done.

Oil + filter

Air filter

Pollen filter

Brake fluid changed

Check brakes (cleaned out if they're any good)

I changed the plugs myself too, but Skoda wouldnt do that unless you ask specifically.

Well maybe.

Mine were defo cleaned out though as my handbrake was sticking like buggery before, and nothing at all now. (Drums on the back of mine)

That was at an Independant Skoda Specialist though.

i know. It's a big thing for me really. I work all week and if i take time off its costing me (self employed) so it has to be done on a Saturday really for me.

Where abouts are you in the country?

South east, service advisor sounded like I was mental for querying why they don't do Saturday, going to have a ring round Monday
