used oil analysis

Featured Replies

I'm sending a request to get a kit and pay for the tests as well here. Has anybody did try this already ? I'm pretty much curious about the condition of my engine.

Yes, they send you the kit and after you 'harvest' the sample you need to ship it to them. It is good to know there is an alternative in Europe. Have you worked with them before ?

Haven't done an oil analysis with them but I have used Millers oils, very good quality.

I was initially looking for a youtube comparison about oil viscosity vs 0 or <0 temps and this is how I got over that test. I've seen a video by Liqui Moly showing how's the oil getting to the top of the engine at a cold start at 0C and how long it takes to get it there. I'm starting to think about lowering the oil viscosity in winter time. Also, I'm now curious how much coolant or metal residues I have in my oil to make an idea about the wear of my motor.
