Hi All,

Using my new MaxiScan MS609 OBD11 after getting the following problem,

( I've had a series of Glow plug light flashing problems )

( Turn off the Ignition and back on Glow plug light goes out for some time )

 

I have found that I have a malfunction on my exhaust gas temp.

Sensor. Fault code is P242a. Bank 1 Sensor 3.

Sensor. Fault code is P242b. Bank 1 Sensor 3.

 

All internet discussion point's to the old 03L906088DE

Two updates for this part New 03L906088GR and 03L906088FG latest model

 

I am looking to update but have now seen more wiring problems in the same area

I will try and attach pics for viewing Problem Area.

 

Will keep you updated on how I get on after parts arrive and hopefully I solve the Problem's

Skoda Fabia 1.6 TDI Elegance 2010 ( 26,000 miles )

Ordered a workshop DVD disk to find what I need to remove to get at the part in question.

Not sure if I can reach from the top ( engine department )

or I need to attack the Sensor from under the car lol.

Will put pics when I start the job.

I have now changed the Exhaust gas temp Sender.

Part Number 03L906088DE Old Part Number with the new Part

03L906088GR.

Coil Light and Engine Light now OFF

( 03L906088FG does not fit this model my mistake )

The correct Part Number to fit is 03L906088GR as you can see it is longer at both ends giving a better fit :clap:

 

 

 

 

I have taken the car for many trips now and every time no longer have the coil light flashing and engine light on :sun:

Will now mark as solved.

So where is sensor 3 as its clearly only has 2 exhaust temperature sensors on the car. i can see the one near the turbo from the top.
