I don't see the point of running a huge radiator that people run with a wide mouth, I was thinking of one of these, as the main air feed will be through the small grill at the bottom

I wouldn't be worrying about inter cooler size tbh,find out why your rear wheel is dropping off IMO first.........

Should be fine. Wouldn't worry that much about the intercooler being behind the bumper since it will still radiate heat away from it but if you want a smaller one lower down, go for it.

Pipework might be an issue as well I guess!

Go for the thickest core you can fit in
