The car is about to hit 150K and will be having a cambelt done.

 

Now the first quote been given is £350, thats cambelt, tensioner and water pump but not an oil change (which I can do, but whilst it's up in the air so to speak) however they want to charge £90 for an oil change!!!!

 

So, where else in the Manchester South area for cambelt etc or stick to a "Name" for when its sold (or does it not matter at that milage?)

90 for an oil change hahaha that's quite funny. Garages generally seem to quote 3-4 hours labour plus parts, and don't forget the vat. 350 is getting towards the high side for the belt change. Don't know who is around in your area though.

Im getting the cambelt kit and waterpump done all in for 250 at my local with genuine parts, so i would say its a tad high. But it does seem to vary from place to place.
