Front anti roll bar bush replacement.

Featured Replies

Is there a DIY or guide for replacing front anti roll bar bushes? Subframe is coming out for some other work (inc shocks & lower arms) so figured whilst it's down might as well get the bushes done too, 136k car. Or is it better to spend the extra and renew the anti roll bar complete?

Thanks!

If they look ok, I wouldn't bother touching them. Although VAG cars tend to wear out lower arm bushes quite nicely, they don't seem to wear out ARB bushes very fast.

OK thanks, they "looked" OK when I had a peek under the car yesterday ... compared to the console bushes which are clearly split, there's a fair amount of corrosion on the anti roll bar but nothing too serious looking by the bushes. I'll leave it be unless the mechanic spots anything wrong. Also the car doesn't feel overly roly when cornering.
Going to quite a treat having firm suspension again!!
