Central locking dead, open fuel filler cap?

Featured Replies

Hi

My central locking is dead, getting it fix next week. But I'm out of gasoline.

There must be some sort of emergency opening right? Can't find anything in the Manuel.

Anybody know? I'm in the middle of ****ing nowhere in northern Sweden.

Have you looked in the manual?

I have not looked on my Mk2 estate but on my Mk 1 you could access the mechanism about 150 mm forward of the flap by removing some trim in the boot. Once you find the find the solenoid or motor it is easy to open by hand. I assume the Mk 2 will be similar.
