Skoda Superb becomes a Passat Again....

Featured Replies

Very interesting indeed.

Obviously the current Superb will be replaced at some point but this makes things a bit confusing. Will it be based on the latest Passat or will it be a development of the older model like this new Chinese pastie???

Wasn't the Superb developed on the long wheel base version of the Passat, which was only available in the Far East?

yep, the original version of the chinese passat in the link.

Superb was derived from long-wheelbase passat. This looks like a top and tail job, and nicely done if I might say.

Certainly some detailing here could be worth seeing on a superb facelift.

Later style wing mirrors with indicators, Led rear light clusters.

And surprisingly the grille works.:)

Still dont like styling of new European passat, rising line towards rear makes rear wheels look smaller compared to front,. Just doesn't look right.:thumbdwn:

Note the power outputs, 1.8T 105kw 2.8V6 140Kw

I like those mirrors too. Wonder if the wiring is already there?:rubchin:

Am I going to be the only one that thinks it looks like a bodge job?

Not a fan of the rearlamps at all, nor the grille, the car just looks too busy!!

The only thing that would be worth fitting on the Superb would be the lower grille foglamps but then the bumper mountings are different so that is out of the window straight away!!
