My daughter has noticed her oil warning light is just glowing, barely on, in fact I didn't notice it until she pointed it out.

 

The light is a bright red as you start to turn the key, along with all the other lights, then everything else goes dark except for this one. In daylight you probably wouldn't notice it.

 

I have checked the oil level and it is pretty well spot on.

 

The car has recently gone through its first MOT in December.

 

Any suggestions as to what the issue may be and is it safe to drive.

 

 

What make/model car is it ?

 My daughter has a 2 year old Peugeot 208 that randomly throws warning lights at her, it's been checked and all is fine, it's just a French thing, it sulks for a bit, then shrugs its shoulders and carries on.
