Just got myself my first Skoda, a Scout 184 DSG and I do love it.

 

I notice the 12v lighter socket is live constantly, which I guess is the way it's designed. As I'm sure this is great for most people, I would prefer one that's only live with the ignition on, so I don't have to keep unplugging and remembering to plug in my Dashcam.

 

Is there a simple fix to this or is it simply something I have to live with.

Hardwire the dash cam so it only comes on with the ignition?
