Stupid battery question

Got a new battery to replace the tired old one. Then I started to wonder if disconnecting the battery whilst swapping them over might cause all kinds of mayhem with the alarm system, stereo code or whatever. Is there any procedure or is it a straightforward swap?

Straight swop. Will get a few lights. But a quick drive and these will clear
