Just bought the Blue with Black roof colour edition delivered today.

Delered to-day suggests they've been out for a while. I think they were in the brochure when

I was kooking at Fabias back in August.

When I say delivered I meant picked up from showroom, as I understand from what was said at Skoda this colour edition was introduced 1st of Jan 16, could it just be a face lift.

Can't upload a pic.

I believe that what you're referring to is the "Colour Concept" option in new vehicles.

If you go on the Skoda website, build your own Fabia, you can select certain options. Black / white roof, wheels and wing mirrors, depending on the base colour of your car. IIRC the option was £400?

Skoda announced the 'Colour Edition' and the prices.

Much as the 'Colour Concept', just that you get the colour roof that is on offer with the Colour that is those in the Colour Edition range.

Hi all,

I am picking up a colour edition at the weekend.

Was wondering if anyone has some advice,  I am trying to get an insurance quote for it and Direct-line are quoting three times as much as one I do for the SE.  It's ridiculous I could spec up an SE the same as the colour edition and the insurance is less.  Both cars are insurance band 8E, I called Direct-line and they said they can't get the prices changed and said to me there will be a reason the under writers have put that price.

 Any advice?

Yes avoid them they show that they are useless.

Not got a clue obviously.

Try one of the Insurance Companies that are sponsors on this forum.

Enjoy the car when you get it.

Thanks,

I tried the link at the top, chris knott insurance.  They could find the car on their system unlike a few other insurers.  However I don't meet their criteria with 1 years no claims.  I have 0 no claims, however this was not affecting any quotes I got for the SE on sites like direct line etc.  I was quoted £558 for the SE and £1600 for the Colour edition which makes no sense at all as they are basically the same car and both band 8E insurance.

Maybe try Briskoda Insurance or see what the quotes are through Skoda. There is some obvious mix up on what the car is.

Thanks,

Have you tried the comparison sites......I always use them first....for this colour edition I just swopped insurance from my part ex car and they managed to charge me £25 admin fee ? and an extra £29 to the end of October.
