Auto lights, ILA and HBA?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Could someone tell me if the VRS has auto lights - as in lights that come on automatically depending on if it's dark or light?

What's the difference between intelligent light assistant and high beam assistant? Skoda brochure doesn't mention HBA but says ILA controls if car put full beam on, detects cars etc.

Thanks

Yes, it has auto lights that automatically turn on and off.

Intelligent light assist alters the beam pattern and direction of the headlights to light up different parts of the road/pavement depending on your speed, and to reduce glare from fog or rain i sucb conditions. It does this based on information such as vehicle speed, whether the wipers are on and whether the fog lights are on. This is a standard feature on the VRS.

High beam assist automatically switches between the normal low beam and high beam headlights depending on outside lights levels, speed, and whether there is any vehicles nearby that might be dazzled by the high beam. The sensor detects the lights (either front or rear) of other vehicles in front and automatically turns off the high beam until they have past. It also does this with the presence of street lighting. This is an optional extra on the VRS, but can be enabled if you have access to VCDS or someone with it.

yes the VRS has auto lights - or certainly mine does and i got it from new and never paid anything additional for it.

high beam assist as far as i am aware is as it says on the tin it will auto put the high beam on and off depending on the conditions.

Awesome. Clears that up for me.

I thought it had auto lights and adaptive light system.

Knew HBA was an extra.

I just re-read the brochure again and it's not clear so confused myself!

Thanks for the replies.
