Axim Help....

Featured Replies

I have a Dell Axim X30 with wireless LAN and Bluetooth.

It hadn't been used for a while, so was flat as a pancake. No memory stored, no external software on it etc etc.

I've configured it to use a couple of 802.11 access points and it works fine - IMAP e-mail MSN etc etc.

My trouble starts when I disable the wireless connections with the button on the side. The dialog comes up telling me that the wireless is disabled and the lights go off.

All well and good.

From then on, I get a notification every 20 secs or so saying "Unable to connect: You have no modem entries created, and no network card present"

I know. The network is disabled. I'm not trying to access a network. STOP TELLING ME EVERY 20 SECS.

How can I tell it to fail silently? I don't even know what's trying to access the network: I've done a soft reset, left it at the "today" screen, and still it does it.

Help please :)

Have you checked the dell website for any updates for the o/s on the pda? Try those because there might be a fix there. If not do a hard reset and set it all up again (pain i know).
