After so many hours of driving does the No2 log reset itself. Mine got to about 100 hours and then seems to have reset. Either that or I have been ham fisted and pressed the button for to long.

I reset mine everytime I fill up but a friend with an Octavia II mentioned that his no 2 log resets after a 1000 or so miles

I was past 1,000 miles, up to over 2,500 I think.

Yes all the trip 2 info will auto reset when it gets to 99 / 100 hours.

Yes all the trip 2 info will auto reset when it gets to 99 / 100 hours.

My manual starts trip 2 will be restarted after 99 hours and 59 minutes of driving or 9,999 kilometres, whichever is reached first.  You would have to average over 62.5mph to reach the distance limit before the time limit.  This is for the maxidot display.  Without maxidot the limits are 19 hours and 59 minutes or 1,999 kilometres.
