Fabia mk1 rns, GPS, Bluetooth, cd player thingy.

Featured Replies

Do they exist and If so where do I get one from.

Not genuine no.

Plenty of aftermarket options though. Single or double DIN will fit.

Is it not the MFD1 that has GPS and options to link up your phone to it

Doesn't have Bluetooth or a built in CD player.

Mud?

As said above anything single or double DIN will fit.

For a low budget option, you can go with an Android running head unit, maybe something like this. Once fitted, you can run about any navigation software available in PlayStore. Since it has a 3G connection, with a data plan, you can use Waze or Google Maps, both free and doing a really good job. If your pockets are deep enough, you can go at anytime with one of the leaders of car audio manufacturers option.

Yes, it's double DIN.

One thing to have in mind: that quad core cpu might get pretty hot. Ask the seller for a unit with active cooling. 1gb of ram is the lowest to go. 2 gb would be sufficient though. I haven't seen the inside of one of those things and how much space is there (cooling pipes and so), but I know that if I play on my phone it gets hot .. doesn't matter if it's an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy thing, they all do the same. Overheating those things just makes them die sooner than they should.

Later edit: something like this should be more than enough for ICE. I'd use an ELM 327 bluetooth adapter and purchase a license for Torque Pro as well. This way you'll also get all the info from the ECU displayed on the player. You can set alerts for all kind of things as well. Pretty neat I can say.

I have no idea about I.c.e. But if you give me a ceased engine I could have it rebored and rebuild it in a day. I'm good with mechanics just never been interested in I.c.e.
