We have had a Octavia VRS TSI for 2½ years. When the car was new it went in for it's 1000 mile check up to find that the water pump was leaking so it spent 3 days in the garage while they sourced and replaced it with a new one. It is now in the dealers again as it is losing coolant only to find that again the water pump is leaking and it requires a new one.

 

Now being from the world of engineering if an item fails once..ok. If the replacement part also fails...there is more to this than just replacing the failed part.

 

Is anyone having problem with the water pump leaking?

Do a search mate, yes, its common.

I guess that I can consider myself lucky then. Mine has only been replaced once.
