Octavia 3 Bolero MIB1 welcome logo issue

Featured Replies

Dear all,

My car is an Octavia 2013 Elegance and I have an intermittent problem with my Infotainment. The car was delivered with the Bolero MIB1 option. Last year i had the first problem with my Bolero's screen. It remained black after the ignition for a couple of hours. After this it came back to normal. The service said i have to capture the problem and they will change it. After this first occurrence my Welcome to Skoda logo also started to behave strange. Meaning that it was not displaying anymore everytime i switched the ignition. Anyway the problem with the screen reappeared this year, i managed to capture it with my phone, and the Bolero (media + screen) was replaced. But still the Welcome Logo is not displaying all the time. In the beginning i thought it's a revision problem. But the old and the new Boleros have different revisions and the problem persists.

Does any of you faced the same issue? Is there a coding with VCDS to make the logo display every time?

All the best,

Razvan

Logo doesnt display every time on my 2015 car. Not really bothered as the system works fine.

Seems to only show the logo if you turn the Bolero on after starting the car.

My Bolero had a problem with the screen going black, also another problem with playing music from the USB stick. I also was asked to video the problem on my phone. Dealer updated the firmware under warranty and the problems seem to be fixed.

The logo doesn't display every time on the Columbus either. I don't see it as a fault as such.

Ok, so it seems that this can be a normal behavior. I will ask the dealer to check for any firmware upgrades when i will have my next revision.

They may not offer you updated firmware, even if it is available. They need a reason to do it.

I have the latest available version of the firmware and it still does it.

It is just a vanity thing and doesn't much bother me - it starts straight to the radio, which is fine for me and when off, straight to the clock.
