Noisy Fuel Pump?

Featured Replies

Hi all, had my new 1.2 tsi Monte 3 weeks now and it has developed a really annoying rattle/ vibration, It's been back to the dealers twice, 1st time they said they cant hear anything, second time they could hear it but said its the fuel pump and its normal! however we couldnt hear it on another car they had in. Its really quite loud especially on a cold start but can still be heard when hot, I'd be interested if any of you experience this same noise as apparently its normal.

?

Who is telling you it is normal?

Get the Dealer Principal at the dealership to bring you around a couple of similar engined vehicles to yours and go for a drive and see if those are making the noise your one is.

Its the technician that is saying its normal, we listened to another car with same engine but couldn't hear the noise. I just keep going round in circles with them, it definitely didn't make that noise when i drove it out of the showroom. I'll try and get a clip uploaded later.

No need really.

If you have an unacceptable noise which is not a characteristic of the vehicle or as the Qualified Volkswagen Designers & Engineers designed and manufactured,

just contact your Warranty Provider which is Skoda UK.   Ask where they might have a Qualified Technician that is not 'Tommy'.

(Deaf, Dumb & Blind, and damn lazy.)

Skoda UK can arrange a Courtesy car and a Warranty Diagnosis and repair since the Dealership you visited seems to have a disinterested technician.
