Hello there I have just picked up a fabia vrs up but when I open the doors the international light disn't come on even to its on the setting to do so and yes the light dose work and in the middle.of the clocks on the dashboard should it show anything when your driving in like mpg or the cruise control settings ?

The interior light issue might be the microswitch in the door lock - very common problem. Try turning your lights on and open the drivers door. Does the lights-on warning bleeper work?

As said, the microswitch can be at fault if the light doesnt switch on, have you tried opening different doors i take it?

 

No, the middle of the clocks only displays a few warning lights unless you have satnav fitted from the factory. Most models show the different settings on the bottom left screen (MPG, time, temp) but not all, some only show the time and thats it, usually classic spec.
