Can anybody confirm 8j0711046e is the correct part number for the Audi Ty's short shifter for my 2011 2ltr petrol Octavia Vrs .

Yeah thats the one mentioned in a previous thread as fitting the 2.0 Tsi, I need to stop by Audi and pick one up too.

Can't tell if you're joking or not but no the short shifter just reduces the amount you move the stick to select gear.

Hehe yeah I know that but I've seen people getting shorter sticks also so that it reduces the travel needed further.

Just ordered mine too. £40 for audi I'll fit it tomorrow if I get a chance

Done! The main splined shaft it sits on was really wedged on so I had to raise the selector to its highest position wedge some Wood underneath then hit the pin back down. Apart from that it was a doddle and feels much better.
