Skoda were about double the cost of my current insurer when I got my MkII.

Was with them for the first four years of owning my Octy Scout from new. Came in handy when given a Skoda courtesy vehicle; no deposit, no having to phone them for approval.

Up to that point their quotes were the cheapest. I only left them in 2014 as they were very uncompetitive, and the same in 2015.

Will see what they are like this year.

No longer even ask them for a quote as I found them very uncompetitive.

Do they do discounts for being with the owners club?

Yes, had both of my Octavias with them for the last 3 years. Same premium each year, no increases so far, and quite happy about the remap on the estate.

No other company can touch their prices for me

Both cars due on the same day, 54 plate 1.9PD Elegance hatch, 08 plate 1.9PD Elegance estate, very low annual mileage on both, total £198 each car.

£198! that will be the day. More like £1800 for me!

Well, I have many years to go until I reach that, but I'm sure even if I did, it would never be that cheap.

I'm with Chris Knot.  Was £310 last year (6 years NCB and the quote included protected NCB). This year it went up to £401, again with protected NCB. The increase was due to the post code change after moving in with the girlfriend.

Oh, and just to make everyone unhappy (sorry) .. I usually pay around the £100 - £110 mark every year for my 1.9tdi Skoda Fabia Sport, fully comprehensive, 10 years+ protected NCB, myself and the wife (both over 40), with car parked on private driveway at night.

Can't complain at that.

Yes, for both.
