wheel bearing gone again

Featured Replies

Good afternoon

first time posting so please be gentle. I have a 57plate estate that was involved in a small accident 7 months ago. At the time the garage replace a bottom ball joint. However the wheel has negative camber. And it is going through wheel bearings at a rate of 1 every. 6 weeks would the negative camver cause this and how do I do that issue. Any help would be really appreciated

Did the accident involve the same side that's going through bearings and have you had a 4 wheel alignment?

Hi there yeah It was passenger side front and that's the side eating wheel bearings. I've had wheel alignment done when the ball joint was changed. They said theycouldnt sort out the negative camber

Proper 4 wheel alignment or just tracking?

4 wheel alignment.

4 wheel alignment.

Do you have the print out?

If they couldn't sort out the camber either they couldn't be bothered or something is bent.

Take it back to the repairing garage or contact your insurance company if they sorted the accident damage for you, there is clearly something bent/damaged on the car due to the accident, you may need a new hub/strut assembly or bottom arm, driveshaft, dont let them fob you off with the "we cant sort the negative camber issue"

F1 in Nottingham reckoned they couldn't sort out the negative camber on my Right Front when I needed mine doing a few years ago. -1 10'.

I had to contact their head office to get a refund, when they overcharged me and would not refund. Part paid on internet and their setup problems with their system. Nothing to do with the negative camber issue though.

I reckon they couldn't be bothered. I will not use them ever again if I can help it.

thanks for the help guys. I took it back to the repairing garage today and they have said the wisharm/wishbone is bent and should of been replaced. They are going to sort and replace the wheel bearing. Really appreciate all the help.
