Polo 9n GT Engine swap

Featured Replies

I know its not a fabia but its same chassis & PD130 :D  My 9n GT decided to go pop the other day, however i have found a new engine exact same code BLT out of a 9n3 polo which comes with ecu clocks, keys etc... Once i have done the engine swap, will i be able to use the new ecu and be able to turn over and work as normal if i put the transducer from the new key into to my old one?

The new Ecu has a 190bhp map on it which i would like to keep and was wondering if i would have to get it de immobilized?

Is there anything else i should watch out for?

Any help is much appreciated,

Thanks

You can either get Ecu deimmobilised it will work straight away, get the ecu coded to your dash, or swap dash and transponder in key with new ecu

Either way it's probably just better to get your ECU remapped.

just fit the engine and don't touch the ecu, key or anything it will just fireup fine then get your car remapped

It comes with all the clocks and keys so if I swap the clocks and swap the transponder in the key will it work? Once everything is plugged in

In theory yes but it's a complicated way of doing it.
