Do the rear seat squab lift up before folding down the rear seats on a new Octy??

I havnt tried but iirc i dont think they do.

They lift kind of up at the front, then sort of roll forward to rest against the back of the front seats. Kind of obvious how they work once you lift them up at the front lip.

should be a little tag you pull.

contrary to what Whatcar mag said yes they do lift up, no tag just lift the front and pull. they then fold over. You will have to take the head rests out when folding the backs to get them flat!

head restraints will then fit in the holes in the seat base and straps go into the little slots in the plastic by the door.

I did remember reading it somewhere that it couldn't be done! Glad I posted this thread now, I'll try it later.
