Window fault

Featured Replies

Hi guys, when I lock my Fabia with the fob it locks fine but when unlocking the window goes down. Any ideas?

Fabias have a function whereby if you hold the key in the lock in the locking position it closes all wondows, and holding in the unlocking position opens them all.

Try unlocking with the fob, then lock with the key in the door. Repeat on the other side door lock. Could be a problem with one of the locks where it is stuck in the unlocking position.

If that fails, could be a wiring fault triggering it, in particular pull back the cover from the wiring at each door hinge, failures in there are common and a short there would cause this.

Also check the button on your remote isn't sticking, can't remember if you can trigger the function from the fob too but maybe?

Pretty much as above really.

Either a wiring fault, the locks jammed and thinks its being twisted in the open position (on the outside), microswitch faulty possibly?

so, Wiring or drivers side central locking motor, if both them things come up clear possibly somthing like the BCM.
