What is Octy 1 Rs final drive ratio

Featured Replies

Does anyone know the final drive ratio for the Octy rs (classic shape)

The figures below were kindly posted some months ago by Jon but hes offline so I cant ask if hes got the RS final ratio which is the only figure thats missing, I need to know as I have a plan !!

My limiters at 7400 & I can hit it every time I try :) :) & in quite a short distance

Gear ratios/mph per 000 for RS as follows:

1st = 3.3/6.2

2nd = 1.94/10.5

3rd = 1.31/15.6

4th = 1.03/19.8

5th = 0.84/24.3

Therefore max speed at 7k is

1st = 43

2nd = 74

3rd = 109

4th = 139

5th = 170.1

4x4

1st----3.780--- 4.8

2nd---2.060--- 8.87

3rd---1.360--- 13.5

4th---1.030--- 17.8

5th---0.840--- 21.8

Final drive: 3.940

Max mph @ 6k (I think that is where your limiter is, but if I'm wrong you'll need to revise these figures)

1st = 28.8

2nd = 53.2

3rd = 79.2

4th = 106.8

5th = 130.8

Stuart,

Based on the speeds quoted above and assuming that the car is on standard 205 / 50 R17 tyres I make the final drive ratio as approximately 3.65.

Hope this helps :thumbup:

PS: 10/10 for David above.

I think the 4X4 is nominally limited to 6500 rpm, or at least that is where the red starts on the rev counter. Mine was taken to 6326 rpm by Jabba during remap.
