vRS carrier slide pins

Featured Replies

Which way around do these go?

I think I remember seeing that the one with the rubber on goes at the bottom on both sides, but cant remember fully and stupidly didn't take a picture when disassembling.

Got 4x new pins as the old ones were nasty, and the rubber pins were well and truly stuck in (needed to use multiple spanners as a spacer and a mallet to get them out)

These are what I got

What do you mean by rubber? are you on about the protective gators?

EDIT: Ah, I see what you mean now, surely you will be able to tell as the longer ones will bottom out in the wrong hole

Pretty sure both holes are the same depth, put the one without the rubber on in both holes with the same amount going in.

No idea then, i'm sure the ones i've taken out in the past have been the same in the top and bottom.

Both sliders should have a rubber on them.

Look at the pictures of the kit he has bought, am I right in thinking that the shorter ones have a rubber outer fitted to the end of them

Bottom hole when the carrier is on the car! The stuck sliders where the reason I upgraded to 312mm. Make sure you use the correct grease on reasonable, or you will have the same problem again.

So longer one is the top hole, shorter one with rubber collet on is bottom :)

Parts info shows them being the same, which is what I remember.

Ask the seller.

Prob don't remember as when changing pads you only need to undo the bottom one.
