Rear Wiper

Featured Replies

Recently my rear wiper has developed a mind of it's own, and will operate randomly regardless of wiper switch position. This seems to be more apparent over rough ground or if coming to a sharp stop. Sometimes operating the front wiper will stop it, other times it will only stop if I turn the ignition off and back on again.

I assume that this is because of a faulty wiper switch?, however the switch action is still quite positive and does not flop about as you might expect if there was any wear.

Thankfully the car is still under warrenty, and is booked into my dealer after Xmas. The only problem is that the fault is very intermittant, and you can bet your life it will not happen when the dealer has it. Is this a known probelm with VAG wiper switches?
