Bit of guidance please - I have a genuine micro-can VCDS cable (had it for years, Golf V and Touran owner for airbag lights, coding cruise, navigation, door locks etc etc), and have just bought a 2007 Roomster Scout.

 

I understood that this car supported canbus diagnostics and that the cable would work. 

 

I have connected the cable today, checked the interface and saved - but none of the cars modules are seen. 

 

What am I doing wrong folks? 

Are you running the latest software 15.7.4 ?

I thought the Roomster was like the mkI Fabia and doesn't have full can bus.

Correct it's basically a Fabia (mechanically) so will need HEX+CAN or HEX-NET.

I am running the latest software, I used it this week on both Touran and Plus. 

 

Ahhh, doesn't matter what software I'm running if I'm using the wrong cable - time to sell the micro-can :(

If your cable has been registered with Ross tech their site says you can trade in your micro can cable.
