Fabia Head unit

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have been quoted from my local garage 115.00 pounds to have a Blaupunkt CD player fitted to my car. This includes fitting VAT and also that little plate.

My other skoda garage in stoke have quoted me 160 something pounds. as as far as i can gather they are both the same head units.

Am i getting a good price? and also are these head units actually any good ?

Its for a 1.9tdi comfort :)

Cheers

Depends on what model it is. You might be able to get better CD players over the net for that price- obviously that excludes fitting and plastic trim, and Blaupunkt units look more standard than other aftermarket units.

But 115quid sounds ok to me especially from a dealer

If you get your radio from Halfords and the like, they'll fit for free if you spend more than a certain amount (about £100?).

However, I would strongly advise getting some sort of signal booster at the time as I found that the aftermarket head units are hopeless at radio reception.
