both me and a friend of mine (he drives seat leon FR) have this error

changed thermostat / coolant sensor and error is still there.

my friend changed the water pump aswell.

has ANYONE solved this problem ..... ??

all i could find on forums is that people actually have this but no solution to it

unfortunately Skoda UK takes a dimm view of techs helping this forums users so you'll find it hard to get a definitive answer from someone that really can help you... i wont rant on about Skoda UK's obvious dropping of the dogs danglies though.

As you found, there are plenty of posts about this DTC across the range of VAG cars. The most common cause would appear to be a faulty temperature sensor. The original troublesome black one was modified - the new one is green. I assume your friend fitted the latter as a replacement? If he has access to VAG-COM, he could log coolant temperature with the engine running and see if the readings show any problems. Sorry, but I can't advise which Measuring Block that is.

... yeah ...he fitted the green one .....
