Not sure what OMF means, but you are looking at lots of variables that you need to narrow down.

- Two bolt/flange mounted, fixed swan neck  or removeable swan neck

- 7 pin, 2 x 7 pin or 13 pin electrics, with or without fridge and battery charging

- factory fit, dealer fit, towbar specialist fit

Anything from £400 to £900.

And whether the car has tow bar prep?

Ditto, OMF??

My dealer brought in a mobile towbar fitter, he fitted my first Yeti towbar

and then transferred it to my new one (I had thought it was another

new one) it was a Witter

Avoid the dealers, 9 times out of 10 they simply sub-contract it out to a local tow bar specialist and charge top money for the privilage.

Cut out the middleman, just fit a Westfalia with the dedicated wiring kit and it'll be as good as OEM.

The PF Jones website is good for getting to a vehicle specific guide price...

As has been said, go to a specialist fitter as the dealer would do that anyway. I had a Westfalia removable with 13 pin, split charging electrics and the Skoda removable bumper panel fitted in Horndean for just under £600 including coding the car.

And if you can find out who the PF Jones subbie is, you might get it even cheaper!

Not impossible but very unlikely.

Rationale being that if the first owner wanted a tow bar at some point he'd order the factory fit, which is a very good price. If I hadn't bought a car from stock with everything else I wanted I would have gone down that route.

And if that owner didn't want/wasn't considering one why would he pay for something he likely wouldn't need on the off chance he would?

I was talking to the guy about the electrics when booking mine in and I said it was a pity that with something like the Yeti, which would as likely as not have a tow bar fitted during it's life, that Skoda didn't fit the tow bar prep. as standard. He agreed as he said it was a pain running the cabling to the front and behind the dash and to include on the production line would cost peanuts.

But as we know manufacturers don't think about things like this or future repairs etc. when they can save a few quid. And if passed onto the customer wouldn't make much difference either.
