VRS estate door sill covers

Featured Replies

Hi, just asking if anyone here has purchased door sill covers and are they good quality. I have seen some on superskoda which look good but wonder if they are good are bad quality?

Thanks in advance

I bought the super Skoda rears - the look exactly the same as the fronts in terms of quality. I bought mine whilst living in Germany so payment was a bit of a faff, but arrived quite quickly. Instructions are not the best though - poor quality photocopy so hard to decipher.

I ordered front and rear not knowing it comes with fronts anyway, the ones you order from super Skoda are bigger than the standard fronts you get so may still replace them.

I've got the superskoda rear ones and they are just the job. Easy it fit and look really good.

Superskoda's are OEM Skoda. Don't worry about the instructions - it's just a matter of checking which side they go on, there's an arrow underneath to point to the front. Then line them up correctly until they feel they're in the right place - not riding up at either end, and check each side - then use some masking or insulation tape to mark each end on the sill (or use a marker pen!!!), peel off the cover on the sticky tape underneath then press firmly in place. I think it's recommended to do it when the temperature is in the mid-teens at least.

(Off post - and if you're interested, mudflaps will fit the vRS, regardless of what Skoda say, certainly if you've got 18" wheels and probably 19"s too, since they come with lower profile tyres and still leave clearance - anyone with 19s able to confirm? Superskoda sell genuine Skoda mudflaps at around half what you'd pay from a UK source. 38 Euros including shipping for front and rear!)

I have 19s with mud flaps and no problems what so ever. Front and back

Cheers, marcholloway.

Also have the superskoda rear sills. Look an identical match to the front. (mudflaps also fit on my vrs)

Self adhesive tape on the back - you could use extra 1mm thick double sided foam tape if you want them to be more secure, but mine are still in place 4 years on.

thanks, i have just ordered some and will use the automotive tape i have. cheers
