Skoda 1.6 dsg gearbox

Featured Replies

Hi,

Sometimes when put into drive, the dsg gearbox acts like it is still in neutral.

Got a local garage, who I trust(not Skoda dealer) to check the fault codes on it and it only comes up with fault code:

06012 (24, f1, 17,7c)

Please refer to relevant technical manual.

Tried finding fault code online without any success.

Anyone got any ideas, what it could be and/or fault code links:

Thanks sorry IDanl,

sorry for late reply. Went to Bristol and got a new clutch put in but now 4 weeks later playing up again, this time moves of then acts like it is in neutral. This only happens after standing still parked for a while, not whilst I am driving. Going to get diagnostics done again to see what codes will come up this time.

Not sure what you mean by relearn.

Clicked your link: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/7-Speed_Direct_Shift_Gearbox_(DSG/0AM)

and it says,

This should be obvious but the procedures on this page do NOT apply to transmissions other than 0AM. For example, longitudinal 7 speed DSG's like the 0B5 used in the B8 S4 use a different procedure.

Mine is a 7 speed DSG's.

I do not know if you have heard of them but I took it to

who seem very professional.

Thanks again

Oh and one other thing, no faults are coming up on diagnostics, strange!

That link is for the 7 speed dryclutch DSG gearbox. I have the same engine and gearbox in my Octavia, and had my K2 clutch replaced under warranty by Skoda due to juddering.

That's the right link for your gearbox. The 7 speed longitudinal gearbox it's referring to is a completely different box and is a 7 speed "wet" clutch gearbox with a much higher torque limit.
