Skoda Octavia II 2.0 FSI

Featured Replies

Hi Folks

This is my first post. I just got a Skoda last month (Year 2006). So far like quite like it. The only concern that I have is it's mileage. I just wanted to check if it's norm.

When filling up full tank, it would show 580-600km. Office to and fro distance is about 25km only. One sided journey would take 30 mins. Yeah, the jam is bad for 12.5km distance. Fuel reading would drop 70km when actual km is just 25km.

My spouse drives the car to work. Have read in forum S would take more fuel than D. And certain triptronic does not suit the driver. So would not try them anyway.

Haven't try long distance yet. But when driving without jam, i can see it the consumption is better. Like losing 30km from reading for actual 20km distance.

Just getting about 250km/50L..looks very poor/bad.

Thoughts please? Any tips to make it better?

Thank you for reading. Hope can get some response.

Sadly it's about right. Fuel consumption driving around town and sitting in traffic is very poor. You will notice the difference when you get on to some clear roads.

The miles (km) to go on the display is based on the MPG/KML at that time

Welcome to smiles per gallon, you have to forget mpg! Around town I average something stupid like 15mpg, but like the above post says, open roads it varys to around 25-40 with mine.
