Indicator randomly on and solid, not flashing...

Featured Replies

So, I got a Mk1 Octavia VRS and like I always do, I lock my car before coming in. Just looked out my window and seen that the indicators are on. Not flashing, just steady! Anyone experienced this? I unlocked and locked it and it's fine now.

Would like to know what has caused this as don't fancy waking one morning and having to rush to a job and car battery being flat!!! :-/

Sounds to me like the relay contacts have stuck together. You need to find the relay and check it. IT may be incorporated into the hazard switch on some cars but not familiar with the octavia

Clipout the hazard flasher button unit and replace. My Poverty spec Octavia did this a few years ago

I've already removed it yet it still does it :-S I've had to disconnect my battery so it don't leave me with a flat battery :-S
