Heated FRONT screen.

Featured Replies

Do all vRS's come with a heated front screen as standard now as with the Superb range (bar the Greenline) iirc?

Should be as much a standard feature as a heated rear as on ALL cars now imo.

If not, can they be retro fitted?

No they don't. I had to add it as part of the winter pack. There is a thread about rerofiiting heated windscreens previous

No and No I'm afraid.

Reason they're not ubiquitous is in part down to the patent being owned by ford - everyone who uses the technology has to pay FoMoCo a licence fee IIRC.

I don't believe that's the case. Yes Ford did hold the patent but it has long expired.

Crazy. Most Supurbs have them fitted as standard.

I was well disappointed when I was told the Greenline didn't, apparently to keep the emissions figures down.

Load of bull if you ask me. :dull:
