You could also replace the entire head unit with an android box for that money too.

PolarFIS+ will give way more "extra bits" if that's what you're really after. Also makes the premium OE kits work in all the cars.

Does this PolarFIS require Maxidot to work though?

Ah, yes. Having re-read the original post.....yeah, I see you don't have MaxiDot. Keep forgetting that vRS's don't have all the toys.

 

No MaxiDot would preclude being able to have the OE BT kits too.

 

 

 

IMHO (and I stress it is a personal opinion - I wholly respect everyone has a choice) vRS owners lose an awful lot just to gain a little bit more speed (and a spoiler). If I were replacing either of my Octavias, I'd be going L&K with a remap, all the toys and all the power.
